newbie need help

emergency, please help!!!

i have to do a trigger for a email account and put or pull some data from the database also, however, i really got no information of how to connect the email server.

i saw someone use the i/o UTL_SMTP.CONNECTION something like that, can somebody give me some hints? or even where i can find those information out any little help will be very helpful
