The server setting is the name you have given to the NET8 entry such as (TNSNAMES.ORA) :

MYORA.WORLD =
  (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = NTS)(PORT = 1521))     (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = ORCL))
  )

Then the server enty would be MYORA.
