Max SGA size in 32 bit Oracle

I remember reading somewhere that there is a maximum size you can allocate for Oracle SGA running 32 bit mode (In this case it would be 8i).

Is this true?

I saw the following figures, which would be the maximum after re-mapping the SGA in the Unix Kernel.

SGA Maximum.

Oracle7 (32bit) 2.25GB
Oracle8 (32bit) 2.5GB
Oracle8 (64bit) Upper limit greater than possible physical memory
