Never really worked with raw at all.....but two things come to mind:
- on the overrun bit, when using raw filesystems you must take extra care to
make certain that your source file fits on the target raw space. Space
management abilities was what I understood to be the largest drawback of using
raw.
- on the errors about the filesystem needing recovery....a guess would be that
Oracle is treating it like a ufs filesystem when it is raw space. Is the raw
space mounted correctly?
