Maximum database links in Oracle 8.

Hi,

Could someone tell me what the max limit for the number of database links in Oracle 8 is ?

Am I naive to assume the following:

1. "OPEN_LINKS" is the max open links per session.
2. Therefore, "OPEN_LINKS" * "SESSIONS" will give the Total # of database links per instance.

OR

Is there another high watermark for db links that I am not aware of ?
