    Windows 2000 Pro shouldn't be a problem, though you should make sure to have Service Pack 1 instlalled, according to the Oracle doc.

    If you're doing this with 8.1.7 (it looks like you're using 8.1.6, though), I'll warn you that I could never get it working reliably. I backed off to 8.1.6.
