I have been very unlucky in connection with upgrading from Oracle 8 Personal Edition version 8.0.4.0.4 to Oracle 8i Personal Edition version 8.1.6.0.0. which i downloaded.
Everything that could get wrong went wrong. The disk crashed and could not be fixed. Therefore i only have a backup of the database on tape which i have now restored back on the new disk.
Now I have no idea how to get the database into the new edition. I have the following old files on the disk: Name Size

CTL1ORCL.ORA 2.442 KB
INITORCL.ORA 7 KB
INITSEED.ORA 8 KB
LOG1ORCL.ORA 201 KB
LOG2ORCL.ORA 201 KB

PWDORCL.OR 2 KB
RBS1ORCL.ORA 10.242 KB
SYS1ORCL.ORA 30.722 KB
TMP1ORCL.ORA 7.170 KB
USR1ORCL.ORA 54.274 KB

EXPDAT.DMP 5.454 KB I have created a new database in 8i named GLDBNAME.MAGNUS-msp. How can i reach my old belowed files.????????? Desperately need help.

Kind regards
