There are lots of benchmarks out there though I must confess I long ago stopped paying any attention to them as they are almost always comparisons of apples and land-mass.

What performs well in one test may well be slow on another. The only tests that matter are ones that directly relate to what you are doing and, if your hardware is already locked in, on your specific hardware.

I am far more concerned with stability and security. If it fails it hardly matters how fast it WAS running. And if it is easily compromised speed is not worth much. And then you have questions such as what front-end tools are you going to use? And how well and how securely they integrate. Not to mention whether the vendor will still be in business in ten years and whether you can find books and training classes and personnel to build and run the thing.
