Remote Host commands

I'm connecting to a number of Oracle databases, version 8.5, through a
Win98 dial-up connection, using OEM, SQLPlus, etc.  Is there any way
that I can run a host command on the host machine through SQLWorksheet
or SQLPlus?...Or any other way through Oracle processes running on my
PC?
