If you want great rdbms support for a product, use Informix, as their support is light-years beyond Oracle support ( or at least it used to be ).

I made the switch from Informix to Oracle several years ago and have, to-date, NOT had enough good experiences with Oracle support to count on one hand. This includes both ITAR, SNAILTAR, ROUNDTHEWORLDTAR, and probably many other variants.

Maybe the problem is that I generally do not open a TAR unless it is a very serious oddity that otherwise cannot be worked ( although there have been exceptions to this ).
