java_shared_pool

I am running 8.1.6 on NT. Currently my parameter java_shared_pool = 0. I don't run any Java INSIDE the database, only external Java apps. that run on it's servers. The question is: Should I still allocate some memory to the java_shared_pool, or that parameter is needed only for internal Java processes?
Thanks.
