Urgent!!!Partition feature to be enabled

To all Oracle Gurus,


      I have installed oracle 8.0.6 at my place.In the current position
I am unable to use "PARTITION BY RANGE" statement to partition the
table while creating the same.It gives me an ORA-439 error,which I
checked and found that the Partition Feature is not enabled.After going
through the V$OPTION the conclusion was the same.


      Please suggest way to enable this feature.Please this is real
urgent.
