Re: instalation of 8.1.7 on solaris 7

It is a littlbit difficult to answer without having the Oracle error number. Possibilitys :

1. You have to reboot the Machine after changing the /etc/system
2. Are the settings correct ?
3. Dou you have y correct init<SID>.ora file ?
