Hi there,

You get them automatically if you use DBWn I/O slaves, however you can disable them with the hidden _lgwr_io_slaves parameter.

Is lgwr_io_slave automatically enabled with Oracle 8.1.6? I commented the parameter out since I was in Oracle 8.0.6 because it frequently brought down my database. And if 8.1.6 is enabling it, how can I turn it off manually?
