Hi;
  I'm working on some research of Oracle's DBMS and researching now the encryption mechanism and have some questions. What does Oracle encrypt exactly? only data/queries passing from the client to the server and back? or also all the other data/ messages/authentications/settings passing between the client and the server? what is the default setting of Oracle, encryption is disabled or enabled?

Thanks in advance
