DATA_TYPE_MOD?

Hello everybody,

Does anyone know what's the use of the column DATA_TYPE_MOD in the ALL_TAB_COLUMNS table? The documentation says DATA_TYPE_MOD = Data type modifier
which I don't think is very helpful. Also a hint to where to look for a better explanation would be also greatly appreciated. TIA,
