If your initial and next extents are not same as that of Original tablespace , then , the space required for the import can vary a lot , because if you initial extent is lets say, 10 in Original tablespace and 20 in the import tablespace then the then there could be a lot of difference in extent allocation and so ultimately on blocks, even if the pctincrease is same.
To my understanding is that allocation of extent do affect the number of blocks consumed.

So make sure that your initial extent and next are excatly the same as that of the original tablesapce.
