It may still be worth pursuing
for a few hours.

Is the first corrupt block 6940 ?

If you have a 2K block size and
a default Enterprise installation with
all the Intermedia and Java stuff installed it is still possible that your corrupt blocks are in the SOURCE$ table in the
area of initial install area.
