You need two patches, 8.0.5.1 and glibpatch. They are not available
from OTN anymore, unfortunately. glibpatch will patch makefiles and
relink all executables with glib 2.0 compatibility packages, which you
should download separately. They are available from lots of LINUX web
sites. Look into glibpatch documentation.
