can not start the OracleOraHome81 Management Server service on local computer

I have just installed Oracle 8.1.6 on Windows2000 server. When I  try to
started the Management Server service, a message prompted out say :
"can not start the OracleOraHome81 Management Server service on local
computer, Error 997 : Overlapped I/O operation is in progress."
Anybody would help?
