Wouldn't surprise me one bit. Most of these FS makers take a middle-ground approach and recommend something that is easy to implement and gives average results in every situation.

Nothing wrong with that in my book. But I'd prefer if they gave the option of detailed explanation of why and where of their recommendations rather than the "one-size-fits-all" approach. There are still people around in this industry who can understand a detailed explanation and extrapolate rationally from there.
