Urgent!HP server question

The HP server is connecting with a hard disk. I want to ask:

    How does the HP server operate the automated backup process?

    How often does the server do the backup process? Is it one day, one week or one month?

    If the server operate the backup process once a day, will it backup only the data used on that day or all the data in the hard disk?
