Daryl,

I've generally found that you need more MHz from the Intel boxes than you do from a Sun Sparc box to perform the same job. We've got Sun Sparc boxes that only have half the processing speed as some of our Intel boxes and they perform just as well if not better. So a multiplication factor of 2 does not necessarily equate to twice the cost. It's kind of comparing oranges to tangerines. They are both citrus fruits, orange in color, taste similar, but differ in the end.
