Niall,

It has nothing to do with pushing security issues - by now every marketing dept knows it's better to come forward, than to try and cover up - not only in IT.

I was merely trying to point out, that there is a higher risk woth O/S's of which the source is available that with propriaty O/S's, as anyone understanding code (and most hackers do) can read thru it, and find weak spots and holes.
I also pointed out that these leaks are probably fixed faster than with any other O/S.

It's just a concern of mine - have no proof, au contraire, I'd like proof for the opposite.

One last thought pops up: people do use NT for missioncritical  systems - so why worry
