help with error...

Hi,

Our application is getting the error 01653, to extend table REXCPT by 77772 in tablespace USERS.

I monitor all the tablespaces regularly, twice a day so I didn't believe the tablespace could have been out of space. I checked the users tablespace using sys.dba_free_space and it shows 2 Gigs free.

So then I tried extending the tablespace anyway. I added more datafiles which brought the amount of freespace up to 4 gigs. However, this error still comes up.

Does anyone know what has happened?
