This is a common problem it would seem. Apparently the dbstart script needs
to be modified or it will only warm start the instance. Specifically the
script is looking for a string containing the "PL/SQL" and under 8.1.6, it
doesn't appear anymore. Basically you need to edit the dbstart script.
Documentation on this has ben posted about 3-4 days ago, try dejanews or
Metalink.
