After installation, did you create an Application with cartridge(s)? If so, what value did you give to the number of server instances? What values did you use for min/max instances and threads in the cartridge(s)? You've read the docs so you obviously know that creating a min greater than 0 for host servers will instantiate a cartridge server at startup (rather than first request) _and_ give you the min number of instances for your cartridge(s) within that application, but that's all I can think of off-hand!
