A lot of the guys installing ARSDigita's Community system have a ton of experience installing Oracle on Linux. Check out http://www.arsdigita.com/bboard/q-and-a?topic_id=21&topic=web%2fdb and search for Linux. A few of the guys have put up some really informative web sites but you will have to search for it as I don't have the links readily available.
