Re: 8i export import to 8.0.5.1 database not a valid export file, header failed verification

I have the same trouble on NT with the same versions you mention. Oralce provides a script in %oracle_home%/rdbms (exp80.sql or something) that can make the right views so you can attach with an 8.0 client on your 8 i database and make a backword compatible dump.

Give that a try...
