I'm pretty new to Oracle so if this is a simply issue I apologize and thank those in advance if they can help me. I loaded Oracle 8i on Sun 2.6 and pretty much choose the defaults through out the installation. When I try to start up Oracle via svrmgrl, connect internal commands... I get "ORA-27102: out of memory
SVR4 Error: 22: Invalid argument" when I issue the "startup" command... The initSID.ora file. I've altered the shared_pool_size variable between 3500000 and 9000000 and I always get the same "out of memory error"... Can someone please point me in the correct direction? Thanks....
