Hello have you got any help on this because i am also having the same type of problem i get a error message while i was trying to import data exported from oracle 8.0.5 database to 8i 8.1.6 database Box is Redhat linux 6.1 with oracle 8.1.6 ee Error message is as under
Export file created by EXPORT:V08.00.05 via conventional path import done in US7ASCII character set and US7ASCII NCHAR character set . importing scott's object into scottsSegmentation fault (core dumped)

ANY type of help would be greatly appericated
