Re: log in localy without listener started?

nothing special required in sqlnet.ora or tnsnames.ora as far as i know. 2: was the connect string i used to use to connect to a local 'personal oracle 7' database. i think (and i'm guessing here) that it means "use IPC" to connect to the instance.
