Hello Maran,

Have a look at the script enough_rollback_segs.sql at http://www.ixora.com.au/scripts/rbs.htm#enough_rollback_segs. This script can distinguish between read and write waits. Write waits normally respond to an increase in the number of rollback segments. For read waits you need to get a bit more sophisticated.

In production database the first day the rollback segment waits is 24 then i increase the number of rollback segments, and applied set transaction use rollback segments(new). But still its waits increases. I made it offline for some time, again it says the same waits about 32.

any body give idea about increasing the waits in rollback segments. How to avoid this?
