Well, lemme see... I've read and USED the Oracle documentation, been through the Advanced PL/SQL manual, AND the O'Reilly V2 book. AND been successful doing a variety of things with objects. EXCEPT, so far, for the two I specified in the original post. So, if you can point out the specific areas in which I've violated the syntax requirements, and preferrably cite the location in the manual so I can show it to the folks with whom I work, I'd appreciate it...
