Lots of good reasons. First of all, 8.0.5 has been de-supported. You'll need to upgrade to 8.0.6 or 8.1.6. Second of all, Oracle 8i (8.1.6) has all sorts of nifty datawarehouse features not found in Oracle 8. These include (but are not limited to) Materialized Views, CUBE & ROLLUP functions, etc.
