Is there anything published on-line on how Oracle and classes of applications
perform on different platforms (hardware+OS), and platform cost-efficiency based on startup, support, etc.

The question came to mind when seeing how incredibly expensive one of our platforms is compared to other hardware/software (say, RS/6000 running Linux!).
