I must agree with Howard J. Rogers. I verified a few responses and they are almost always incomplete. Obviously 'volunteer' is unaware of the v$ views. I would trust on this FAQ.
There is another FAQ at http://www.orafaq.org It is a bit uneven with respect to topics, but the answers are generally speaking dependable. Does such thing as *The* Oracle FAQ exists? No it doesn't. One would wish Oracle came up with such a thing. In the Linux era the number of people without support will be rapidly growing.
