8i to 7.3

We have just completed a client project using Oracle 8i. We've now been informed that the client is not going to be upgrading to 8i from 7.3 for a while.
Should we anticipate any problems when we use our existing database creation scripts on a 7.3?
I have been told that the sql syntax will not cause any problems but we might have driver issues.

Any feeback will be greatly appreciated.
