Hi,
I have just had Oracle upgraded to 8i Enterprise on a NT (sp 3) platform, running on a Compaq Prosignia 200 and another on a Compaq Proliant 2500. SNMP had been working previously, but since the upgrade snmp hasn't worked. I have loaded sp6a + hotfix's, but it still doesn't work. I have uninstalled snmp and re-installed, but still no go. On both servers, when I try to start snmp, I get the following mesage "The SNMP service terminated with specific error 3".
As yet, I haven't been able to resolve the problem, but I am still investigating. I haven't tried it on another hardware platform yet.
