If you are committed to W2K, there are some very big machines available to you. Look at the Unisys es7000. It works with Windows Advanced server or Datacenter server (when it is released). It will use up to 32 processors, completely redudant memory paths and i/o paths, upgradeable to ia-64. It uses can be partitioned to run as multiple servers within 1 box (ex. 8 x 4 processor servers) and even different OS's on different partitions.

MS used this box at its Win2k into, demoed the 16 proc version doing a simulated web transaction with billions of airfare route calculations per day.
