Linking with OCI .so

While i'm linking my application with OCI shared library, gcc issues : /db/u01/app/oracle/product/8.0.5/lib/libclntsh.so: the `llseek' function may be dangerous; use `lseek64' instead.

What does it mean and what should i do to avoid this ?
