I didn't....
The version was, actually, 8.0.5 not 8.1.5 and happened when I tried to export grants, etc in addition to data ....Oracle support could not replicate the error , nor could they solve it..
I solved it by upgrading to 8.1.5 -
8.1.6 is not available on Netware yet ( its the 'poor relation' OS as far as Oracle is concerned)..

I had no problems with my NT 8.1.5 to 8.1.6 upgrade.... sorry :-(
