NT in general is not as stable as any of the Unixes. Had personal experience with both and am switching stuff over from NT to Linux in order to get better control of the system, reduce down time and in my case dramatically reduce cost. (Seems MS may not like UNIX but they very much like their prices for things. Witness the evr increasing price of NT server and SQL Server!)
