Hi
When the system tablespace is used for temporary purpose, the dynamic (dictionary) tables cannot be extended properly during the time of changes to the database and it would get fragmented. Once you fire queries to these dynamic tables, there would be delay in getting replies.
1) Do not use system TS for any purpose. 2) PCT INCREASE SHOULD be 50% only and do not bring down to 0. ramkumar.
3) Alter the user sys and make temporary TS to some thing else. 4) Also ensure you are not having any objects in Temporary TS. RAMKUMAR AT trram_at_yahoo.com
