Please help

Hi

I am very new in Solaris and desparately trying to install Oracle 8i, just finished installing
but it threw a number of error msgs specially when going through the "Linking" process
and at the very end, the last step, also failed to configure net8 and database assistant

I followed all the steps given in the oracle installation guide, anyway

I cannot figure out whether the I can still use Oracle or not

So can any one please help by anwering the followings :

1. How can i invoke sqlplus, svrmgr and database assistant
2. Do I have to create any links to invoke these tools and how can I give access to these tools to other oracle users, any files to configure like .profile or .login if so how
