OCP = a level of technical (book) knowledge only.

What if you rush when you type at the keyboard, make careless mistakes all the time, don't write down what you plan to do and what you have done, don't follow site-procedures etc. etc.

You could be an OCP and a 'disaster waiting to happen' simultaneously.

So all you've got to do is prove to someone you don't make mistakes with Oracle.

Why not create an Oracle DB for free (charity is a good cause after all) - then set yourself targets of e.g. absolutely zero unplanned downtime, query response times all within 5 seconds, etc. etc.

Commit yourself to these targets on paper before you start. Try and meet the targets. Get someone who will verify your performance.

If you fail to meet a target, put on your C.V. that you failed but more importantly what you LEARNED while you attempting to meet it.

If you pick your targets thoughtfully, and faithfully document your performance, you will be well on your way to satisfying someone else that you know some of the real-life issues of DB Administration.

You will also demonstrate, en passant, that you are aware of some of the experience-gaps that cannot be filled by the OCP program.
