I never used Linux, so may be I'm wrong, but if it's just like Unix,
you can test it, and see if it works: set the variable TERM as vt100.
To do that, enter in Linux prompt:
TERM=vt100 ;export TERM
(use lowercase and uppercase just as I did)
To see if Linux accepted your command, enter:
echo $TERM
After that, try to install Oracle.
