First of all, you do not need to run this script to use Oracle Names Server. It is only necessary if you will be using a Region Database to store your Names information. You can store your information directly to checkpoint files on the server. That being said, I would strongly suggest using a Region Database. So you need to know where the script is for that?!?! I ran into the same problem where the script was not where the documentation said it was. I found the script in %ORACLE_HOME%\network\Names on my NT box. If you can't find it there, try using Explorer's Find utility to scan the distribution CD.
