Just installed 8i, and this lack of a text mode REALLY stinks.
Must have taken me three times longer to do the same job with this
dead slow java program.  Since when did requiring a graphics
display on a server become acceptable?  Am I the only one bugged
by this?  I guess it's non-interactive installs from now on.
