Access is faster than Oracle for extremely small databases, because Jet 3.5 (at least, not sure about 4) likes to keep a mirror image of the data in RAM. As long as your own client-based RAM is close to the size of your dataset then your O.K.

This is the main advantage for tiny databases. In all other respects, Oracle is better though.
